Once you create a page and claim a username/slug, it stays reserved as long as the page exists in your account.

• If you keep the page, nobody else can take that exact URL.
• If you delete the page, the username may become available again and could be claimed by someone else.

So if your username is important for branding, avoid deleting the page or giving up that URL.
